May God Hold Fast to ME

Hezekiah put his whole trust in the God of Israel. There was no king quite like him, either before or after. He held fast to God—never loosened his grip—and obeyed to the letter everything God had commanded Moses. And God, for his part, held fast to him through all his adventures.

What a comforting thought. God held fast to Hezekiah as he put his whole trust in God. What does that look like to me? How might I put my whole trust in God and have God hold fast to me?

I especially like the end… through all his adventures. It is the EPIC way.

Reverence and Fear. Worship Him.

Reverence and fear him. Worship him. Sacrifice to him. And only him! As it turned out, all the time these people were putting on a front of worshiping God, they were at the same time involved with their local idols. And they’re still doing it.

God commands through his prophets. I choose to follow. I wonder about idols. What is an idol? It’s said that anything you put before God is an idol. God reveal to me any idols I need to tear down. I pray all will be revealed and all destroyed.
