Is There a Hole in Your Net?

Archie’s paraphrase of the Word says, “All things work together for the good.”  You ought to be able to hang your hat on that promise.  God does promise.  God does not lie.  That says that regardless of what is happening to me, God will turn it around to my good.  Right? 

Wrong!  There is more.  “All things work together for the good of those that love the Lord.”  That is the hole in my safety net.  I tightrope through life, trusting God’s Word that all things will work together for my good.  Only, to find out it may not. 

What kind of promise is that?  It is a promise with a catch.  God promises He will work things out for your good IF you love Him.  Love is an action word.  It is not an emotion.  If you are not actively loving God, you are walking a tightrope with a hole in your safety net. 

The outcome is inevitable…..
