Extravagant – Word for the Day

Has a Word ever woken you up in the middle of the night?  Have you been sleeping and rolled over only to have a Word pierce your heart?  The Word so sharp it has to be spoken.  The Word today is Extravagant.

I capitalize Extravagant in the same way you distinguish the real God from false gods.  Extravagant is a Word that describes my real God.  All throughout the Word; prophets, kings and mighty men of God speak of His Extravagance.

It is time we as believers speak of God’s Extravagance in our lives.  We have an Extravagant story to tell.  The world waits to listen.  The world wants to know that the one one true God is the God of Extravagance in everyway.

As Job puts it in Job 37,

Whether for discipline or grace or extravagant love,
   he makes sure they make their mark.

Isn’t that odd?  Job, the man that can define suffering with his life’s experiences speaks of God’s Extravagant love.  How much more should we be speaking of God’s Extravagance!
