Throughout life, I have worked hard. I have chased after the rainbow, only to come up empty. God in His patience has allowed me to experience much and has blessed me with far more than I deserve. He has protected my family and kept us healthy. He has met our needs in all areas, but I believe He wanted so much more for me. He wanted me to push out deep and let my net for a catch that far exceeded anything I could ever do.
Today, life is much different. Today, I wait on Jesus. I know I tend to be impatient, so today I am quick to act slowly. I think it is the way God wants it. He wants me to wait on Him as He prepares the way. Many times it is a way less traveled, but it is His way full of life and life abundant. Today, I push out into deep water when He says, “Push” and in obedience… He fills my nets. It is a good place to be. I encourage you to join me.
Jesus said to Simon, “Push out into deep water and let your nets out for a catch.”
Simon said, “Master, we’ve been fishing hard all night and haven’t caught even a minnow. But if you say so, I’ll let out the nets.” It was no sooner said than done—a huge haul of fish, straining the nets past capacity. They waved to their partners in the other boat to come help them. They filled both boats, nearly swamping them with the catch.
