I am a believing Husband, Father, CEO, President, Research scientist, Physicist, Entreprenuer, Business owner, Software designer, Webmaster, Professional writer, Blogger, Consultant and Janitor.
It is the desire of my heart that God be Lord of my life. Life’s experiences have killed the old man and God is building a new creation in me. I look forward to experiencing the new man God creates in the old vessel known as Archie via “God Spots”.
Surf on over and read “The rest of my story“…
Peace to you and yours.

This is one of my favorite quotes, said by a character in a Dean Koontz novel:
“Humanity is a parade of fools, and I am at the front of it, twirling a baton.” – Odd Thomas who later became Brother Odd Thomas
man, you’re like… getting famous.
Hey there! Not bad for a “janitor!” Other Duties As Assigned? You are awesome Archie Rhines! You work is funny and very inspiring! God has given you a wonderful talent…..I am so glad you are sharing it!
I was talking to Orie tonight and, of course, you and Cora Ann came up. She invited me, on your behalf, to your home on Mother’s Day. You can chew her out later if you want!
Don’t know what my kids have in mind for that day, but I really do enjoy spending time with you all!
Anyway….didn’t know I would come across this site when I “Googled” you.
What a treat!
Hugs to all……especially Cora Ann!
Love you!

Hi Archie;
I put 37stories.wordpress.com on my blogroll. I like the name and the site.
Have a great Christmas yourself
Arch…old friend, how are you doing? Will B. here, you know, Central Baptist Church in Round Rock, TX. It is very good to see you, even at this great distance. My, what white hair you have Arch. How’s the Mrs.C?, and the little big guy, J, and his wife A? I hope to be able to visit with you sometime soon Arch, my family and I that is. We will be traveling down your way in early summer. Things have changed Arch, I have changed, and I would like you to see MY new clothes. The ones God has given me. As you say, the ‘new creation’ in me. It has been a long hard road, you know that road Arch, the road marked with suffering Arch, but I testify also that it has been GOOD. I did’nt give up Arch, I held on to that little mustard seed of faith He gave me, you know, that really little bitty one you used to see me carrying around showing to everyone, and it’s grown really big now Arch. Boy you oughta see it now Arch. Suffering burns away all the ‘stuff’ and leaves only glory, you know, the ‘other stuff,’ what God can use, what He intended for us in the first place. He is not finished with me yet, nor you I see, and I say that is VERY GOOD.
C’mon Arch, let’s get back in touch, for new times sake.
God bless you Arch,
Will B.
Hey Will! Funny. I know a couple Will B. from Round Rock. One went to prison. The other went to Colorado. I assume you are the one in Colorado. It’s great to hear from you. If you are from prison, it’s great to hear from you also. I’m grinning.
If you are into facebook, find me there to track with me. If not, thanks for finding my blog. I look forward to hearing your comments to my thoughts.
Let us know when you head our way. Love to get together, talk of the old days and look forward to the new. Tell your bride hi. Love to hear what your kids are up to. It has been a lot of years…
Archie… I’ve forgotten your email address… I have it at home, but I’m at work now… and I wanted to add you to my contacts, as well as check out the website you showed me again and test it out. I couldn’t do it at home because my laptop is ancient lol Email me at bajanpoet at gmail dot com.
Thanks for responding to my blog. I get what you are saying, that God has already done so much for me and I do not have the right to demand more from him, but I have the obligation to worship him regardless of my circumstances. I guess I’ve always known that, but I would like for God to endorse me as a child of God, I see God touching people in my congregation every Sunday, some being slain in the spirit, others speaking in tongues and he passes me by every day,yet I desire him so much, what could that mean?
Bafuna, Thank you for commenting. What part of the world do you live and see God working?
Consider this: We are designed to bring Glory to God and lay it at His feet. I understand your desire to see physical manifestations of “God’s gifts” to be displayed in your life. But is that what we are predominantly design for? I think not. It would be considered “OK” but not God’s best.
So what is God’s best? Bring Him Glory. How? Praise Him for what He has done for you. Praise Him for His creations seen in the world. Praise Him for the sun, stars and every part of His creation. Praise Him for being willing to experience the agony of His Son dieing on the cross so that you might have life.
Then the most awesome praise and glory you can place at the feet of Jesus is leading someone else to a new belief in Christ. That is what it is all about. You want to please God? Tell someone else about Jesus and what He did on the cross.
It’s not about you and the lack of some “marked” gifts. It is about your obedience to the Father in sharing Christ with others. God bless!

Archie, I’ve been so encouraged here this morning as I sat to read some of what God is doing in you and what He is speaking through you.
God is good – I’m so, so grateful. Humbled because I know without Him I’m nothing and I can do nothing….Yet He has invited me to particpate in the most amazing journey – crossing paths with all kinds of people, all who need to know Him – His love – His grace
Resting today in the reality, He loves me!
Archie,
I wanted you to know that, as of last Sunday (9-13-09,) I’m the pastor of Cathedral of Praise in Independence, KS. We still have to find jobs and move there, but we’re excited and very nervous at the same time. Keep us in prayer during this stressful time. I told my Facebook friends (I’ll try to find you there), but I wanted to tell you personally, since we’re brothers in Christ and fans of each others blog.
Blessings,
Jim
Archie, I am so amazed by what I read. It gives me such hope. Thank you. I am seeking God, but it is so hard to let him have control.
Hi Vickie. Thank you for your encouragement. I hope to turn my God Spots into a book one day. Did you find the one where I spend a day in jail, a couple weeks ago? That’s something for the nephews. Ha!
I am very impressed with your blog and how much time you have put into making it speak God’s Word. I just released my blog http://awalkoffaith.wordpress.com and am excited about how God will use it to transform the hearts of men and women who are hungry for the Word and are ready to walk with Him. It would mean the world to me if you could check out my blog and share it with those around you.
God bless and thank you for taking the time to look at my blog.
Michelle Jensen
