My Friends are Moving

Have you noticed how hard it is to make friends? In a life time, you only make a few friends and only time and circumstance validates their friendship.

Last week the EPIC family helped pack Tamara and Kelsey’s boxes into a moving truck and blessed their move to Oklahoma. This weekend, the EPIC family will help pack up Michael, Tiffany and family and bless their move to Florida.

Although I wish the very best for them, it is just not fair. Both sets of friends laugh at my odd humor. Tiffany adds to it. She gives me free counseling even when I don’t ask. Yep. The cat is out of the bag. For those of you who have been paying. Tiffany counseled me for free.

She was always so caring. She’d say things like, “Suck it up and get a life. Quit whining. You think you are the only one with troubles? Look. Just go move your car. It bugs me.” Compassion was what I always liked about Tiffany.

I do have to admit, I find it admirable on the Tiffany’s part to want to move to Florida to be near Jesus. I just find it a bit gullible. Click to see why Tiffany thinks she will be closer to Jesus in Florida. 🙂

Yes. I’m going to miss my friends.

It is the desire of my heart that God be Lord of my life. Life’s experiences have killed the old man and God is building a new creation in me. I look forward to experiencing the new man God creates in the old vessel known as Archie via "God Spots".

  1. another one bites the dust. With AT&T relocating there will be more of these undesired farewells. I never am dulled to the pain of seeing good people leave when it’s not on MY timeline!

To Tiffany’s point…Jacqui is convinced we’re closer to God if we move to Hawaii…so maybe Florida has some similar vantage points? I think it’s more atop alpine peaks in remote national parks, but that’s just me.

  2. Crackin’ me up!!

I’m going to miss you and Cora HUGELY…Michael and I were discussing our marriage the other day and we decided you guys are our heros–we want a marriage like yours….

Thank you for your example…Lovin’ you guys ALWAYS!!!
