One Church. One Mission. One Life.

The staff of Grace Point is to memorize “I have given them the glory that you gave me…” John 17:22-23, but I have a question.

What is glory?

Does anyone know what Moses was asking when he asked God to show him His glory?

It is the desire of my heart that God be Lord of my life. Life’s experiences have killed the old man and God is building a new creation in me. I look forward to experiencing the new man God creates in the old vessel known as Archie via "God Spots".

  1. Archie,

Thanks for visiting my site and leaving this same question. I left an answer there with links for you, however, I’ll add a little here, too. In answer to your specific question above, You may be interested in reading The Book of Moses, which gives more details about Moses’ vision of God, where he beheld God’s glory:

    Here is an extract:

“And he saw God face to face, and he talked with him, and the glory of God was upon Moses; therefore Moses could endure his presence.”

  2. A great question. A somewhat abstract concept.

LIterally, glory is weight. In the same sense, if you were running for political office and I “added my weight” to your campaign, that would be sort of the same thing.

When we give God glory, we “add weight” to His name.

Here is a great site that explains it a little more fully…
