Run. But, you can’t hide.

Bad Request

Your client has issued a malformed or illegal request.

I am focused and praying hard for couples in marriage that I know are struggling.  Yesterday, one of the couples said they were separating and another said they had already separated.  Sometimes it seems God sends back a “Google Error.  Bad Request.” response.

What am I doing wrong in my prayers?  If separation is the result of my prayers, maybe I shouldn’t be praying?  Is God just too busy keeping up with presidents and kings and things?  Does God really care?

Then, I think about Jesus willingly dieing on the cross that I might have life and have it abundantly.  That negates any argument of not caring.  Could it be that my prayers are adding light to the couples’ life that reveals things they don’t want to see?

Running from God is never the solution.  He never tires.  He will chase.  Abundance is found when God is embraced and you walk faithfully together through the fire.  Let God catch you.  Give up the chase.  He can and will make a difference.   God bless.

It is the desire of my heart that God be Lord of my life. Life’s experiences have killed the old man and God is building a new creation in me. I look forward to experiencing the new man God creates in the old vessel known as Archie via "God Spots".

  1. It is natural to be concerned for another’s marriage, but praying for the marriage when the circumstances for separation are not clear is not right either.

There is her side and his side and the truth is somewhere between. Adultery is grounds for divorce and in Jesus’s eyes one who looks upon another with lust has committed adultery.

I believe there are other causes as well, such as physical abuse and mental abuse. Maybe one of the partners is secretly gay or is a pedophile? We have known people such as this.

If it is meant to be it will be, it is out of our hands entirely but between them and God.

  2. You are so close and yet so far.

The relationship is truly between each other and God, but that is where the beauty of intercessory prayer washed in the blood of Jesus comes in. Even by mentioning the name of Jesus the evil one flees. It is with the power of prayer passed on to believers that miracles occur. These miracles can be in the restoration of marriage. It is the Holiest of Holy covenants.

He that hath an ear. Let him hear.
He that hath an eye. Let him see.

God has both. He hears and sees. Expect a miracle.
