POP! Goes God in a Box.

So it seems….
To reconcile murder against war, requires the acknowledgement that God makes the rules.  No matter how hard we try to place Him in a box, He doesn’t fit.
We so easily shape our God to meet our needs and fit our preconceived ideas of who He is.  Then one day, you wake up and realize God is not in the box where you put Him.
You painfully once again begin the search for Him…
Only to find Him and put Him back in the box…

It is the desire of my heart that God be Lord of my life. Life’s experiences have killed the old man and God is building a new creation in me. I look forward to experiencing the new man God creates in the old vessel known as Archie via "God Spots".

  1. I love this saying “Don’t put God in a Box.” I learned it in my own life about a year ago and have big plans to write a book regarding this very concept….I do LOVE your perspective that once we find Him, no matter where, no matter how…we put him right back in that box. Someday I will give the Janitor full credit for his quote in my book…someday.

  2. Hi Archie;

    Glad you posted it.

    There was a sadness as I wrote the last line… “Only to find Him and put Him back in the box…”

    The result of habits and thinking and input, our humanness.

    Nothing so much wrong with that if our capabilities are not there to go above and beyond, but I think for some of the people it is possible if they throw the box away. 🙂
