I am considering the thoughts of the gate being narrow and the path is narrow, also.
By your fruits you can be identified as a believer in "the way". Brings me to the thought: we may be surprised who we find as brothers in heaven. I'm thinking that praying the "believers prayer" is walking through the narrow gate. Sadly, most that make it through the gate follow a wide path. Then the, "By your fruits…" clause kicks in… Will the Father know you?
The likelihood that many professed Christians really are not saved helps explain why acknowlegement of the workings in the Spirit world is seemingly unimportant. I mean if you are deceived about your salvation, one would expect you to be even more deceived about the Spirit world around you. Certainly we would only be interested in fluffy winged angels serving lemonaid on a hot day.
If you fit nicely in today's world, be fearful. Be really frightened of the future. Payday is coming!

I think once you are saved you start a journey. Some move faster than others. My belief is God has His has already planned our path & at what speed. My journey started out at a crawl. The day I was baptized was a wonderful day. I felt the presence of God so strong that day. He has prepared the way for me. For a long time I felt stagment. I guess the Lord felt I needed to learn some lessons before I moved on. The last 2 years the Spirit has guided me with leaps and bounds. It never fails when I feel stuck it is followed with a huge aha moment. I am constantly amazed at His work in me. I feel so blessed!
