I am in the middle of watching an old black and white James Cagney movie on DVD since my TV turned to snow. It is during WWII and he is sent on a mission as a spy. His boss says he will not return. It makes me wonder…
If God sent you on a mission and said you were not going to return, would you go or would you opt out?

Yes. When He called me into ministry and 2 times since then I have felt Him specifically ask me if i would not just “go,” but suffer and die in His Name. Tearfully I said yes. So far he hasn’t cashed in on that (I guess Isaac is still bundled on the altar?), but it’s something He reminds me of periodically.
Better to say yes than be eaten by a whale, I guess!
Thank you mike s. I believe there are few in the cloth or out of the cloth that honestly will go regardless of the cost. I am reading a book titled, “Tortured for Christ”. I believe I am willing. Time will tell if I am asked. More time will tell if I am able and faithful.
