No Cash Value

Our church and many other churches around the world are into their VBS season.  It's a wonderful time when there is a focus on the lives of the children.  There is plenty of fun and lots of Biblical instruction.  Part of the fun is opportunity to give.  After the collection was received yesterday, there were a half dozen foreign coins given.  We have foreign missionaries so I guess that makes sense.

But there was a "No Cash Value" token in amongst the coins.  I suppose if God likes a good arcade game the coin will come in handy.  But it makes me ponder about the gifts we give God.  I think it likely He sees much of what we give Him as "No Cash Value".  A gift without love is no gift at all.
