What is best for you?

How many times in a life time will you wonder what is best for you?  You pray for God's blessings on your life.  You look at circumstances and choose.  Surely this new job is best for me.  But is it?

Just imagine for a moment that you are the evil one and you have the ability to manipulate circumstance.  Now also suppose you know that God is getting ready to bless one of His children's socks off in some miraculous way.  What would you do as the master villain of manipulation?

I know what I'd do.  I'd offer you a big fat bonus and a raise, then move you and your family to some far off place.  Likely, I could set your Christian growth back by years.  They say, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." I think it wise to look a gift horse at both ends, before you count your blessings.

It is the desire of my heart that God be Lord of my life. Life’s experiences have killed the old man and God is building a new creation in me. I look forward to experiencing the new man God creates in the old vessel known as Archie via "God Spots".

  1. Still on what is best for you. God says in his words that he knows the thoughts that he has towards us. They are of Good. Sometimes it can be confusing. You even begin to wonder if God remembers you. He does. All he wants is to give you a story. To prove his glory through you. Peter wondered why Jesus should die. Jesus told him to get lost. He knew God had a plan. And who could have imagined it would have such a wonderful outcome. Now He that sacrificed his Son would surely give you the best. I am so sure of that. Stay Blessed.

  2. Ajani. I enjoy the thought of God wanting to give us a story. It is an incredible story we as believers have to tell. How did Christ reveal Himself to you?

  3. I am too easily drawn off track. Have asked God to make sure he keeps me on track. Greater is he in me…then that other loser – no matter how much experience he has to throw me. Sooooooo greatful for that.

  4. I love that the evil one does his best to hurt us and God is faithful to those that love Him, by making life’s events turn out alright. I think God even grinned when He read I had finally “got it”.
