It is the desire of my heart that God be Lord of my life. Life’s experiences have killed the old man and God is building a new creation in me. I look forward to experiencing the new man God creates in the old vessel known as Archie via "God Spots".

Sit by him and let him know he’s not alone, an outcast, a castoff. Do your best to let him know that you, someone, that anyone gives a damn. Is he hungry, sick, does he have shelter?
Hi Archie;
Modern sign of what is coming to many more, those who fall between the cracks.
When I was twenty, I sat on a street like that with a paper bag, a cheap bottle of wine inside and with my wino buddies.
I’ve been there a long time ago, and you know what, although I don’t drink, I can see it happening again down the road.
There is not enough work in this world. Technology is replacing much of what we used to do. For some of it, it is OK, but the USA is primarily a service oriented country now, much of it we don’t “need” to survive while farmers are having a tough time, “again”.
Hi Ich. I just sat and looked at this guy for the longest time. I wondered how he got to this place in his life. I don’t know for sure, but I’d be willing to bet that somewhere in his life, he lost hope….
I have to agree, there is a time coming that will be tougher than mankind has ever experienced before.
Take care.

Hi Archie;
I’ve been reading Blue Like Jazz and Donald Miller is one of the best writers I have read, and he got me thinking.
I walked away from the faith years ago. Biggest reason was me. I screwed up pretty bad.
I still have issues with a lot of things I read in the bible, but one aspect I find different about Jesus is his teachings.
About life, who to follow and who not. The fellow above in the picture is someone I don’t think Jesus would walk by.
I think he would have sat down beside him and looked him in the eye and said follow me.
Archie, I question everything and many times what I read does not stand up to the test. Yet there is substance to compassion, forgiveness and love.
They murdered Jesus for what?
I don’t see Jesus as ever picking up a gun to start anything. There are plenty of unanswered questions in the Gospels. Like nuclear fission, test tube babies, stuff like that. It wasn’t around in those days.
The essence of Jesus was good. Not because of miracles, but because he taught that there was more to life than fame, power or money.
I am still reading Blue Like Jazz
Hi. I didn’t go looking for a book for you. The book found you. Someone told me about it. I read it and thought the writing style could have been you. Glad you are stimulated by it. Enjoy!
