“Christ is truer than the crap around us”~Nich

Guest Post by Nicholas Paul Hiers

the other day, I was walking by a guy who is a resident of a particular corner…with a free coffee coupon in my pocket, I debated whether it was something I anted or if it was something he could use…got tangled by “self” thought…so I prayed for G to dust me off as to bring him food on the next day…what a lame “guilt” offering…

To Day, I saw him again, he was out front of the store I was planning to budget a lunch from…I did get my “self” a bag of salt/vinegars, but for him a whole sandwich w/drink…I talked about my prior dilemma w/ an “other” and the random blowing thought of “well, maybe he is making more money than we”…but that thought didn’t stick…the sandwich was down the hatch before I could offer him a smoke…guess he actually was hungry…we talked briefly about the weather, and I assured him that Christ was Truer than the “crap” around us…he agreed…then I realized he wasn’t wearing the trademark lipstick he normally wears…he talked about having to keep walking to stay warm, cause he (like me, but without a home) wears sandals…

how True…if our “feet” get cold, then we’re not doing enough walking…indefinitely more among our words-exchange, but G just did some watering for sure…Word…Thank G for letting me toil for soil…Amen…

It is the desire of my heart that God be Lord of my life. Life’s experiences have killed the old man and God is building a new creation in me. I look forward to experiencing the new man God creates in the old vessel known as Archie via "God Spots".
