I stole this picture from my friend David Martin’s blog… He has done a great job of expressing himself and thought you might enjoy his expressions, also.

I am taken in by his picture.. “FOCUS”.  It is easy to lose focus when life blocks ones view.

You know the times… something so pressing, something so meaningful occurs it glares full in your face and you can not avoid looking at it.  You want to avoid it.  You want to go around.  You want to move on, but there it is.  No matter what you do, it continues to block your vision.

It is at these times of limited or no focus life gets difficult.  I had one of those times today.  Life kept staring me in the face.  The harshness of living was ever present.  I wanted to move on, but I became sad and then mad.  Life was not fair or even understandable for another.

It was during the day of limited focus, I realized that life on earth can be hell.  Not the fire and brimstone kind of hell, but a hell that is seemingly every bit as painful for some.  It is this life of hell on earth that many work hard to escape, but few find peace.

It is my desire, you be one of the few in this world that find peace from the hell of living.

I will pray.  Will you join me?

It is the desire of my heart that God be Lord of my life. Life’s experiences have killed the old man and God is building a new creation in me. I look forward to experiencing the new man God creates in the old vessel known as Archie via "God Spots".

  1. When we come to the Red Sea place in our life,
    Where in spite of all we can do, There
    is no way back,
    there is no way round, There is no other way but through,
    Then trust in the Lord with a faith supreme
    Till the night and the storm are gone.
    He will still the winds; He will part the waves,
    When we says to our soul, Go on!”
    From Dad’s keepsakes.

  2. In 86 years of living there have some tall mountains and
    some dark valleys, but my Lord has walked beside me all the
    way- tho sometimes I wondered where He was. He was there.

  3. Hi Archie;

    A friend I had known for over thirty years and a Christian wrote this to me this morning;

    Old Willy Nelson had words of Wisdom. He was asked what he would do if he lost every thing and was down to scraping again in life. He said that that would be no problem as long as he didn’t lose his scraper. That’s the whole secret. We all have a scraper and that is all we need. Our scraper is our Positive Attitude and Faith that we can make it through. As long as we have this in us we can make it through.

    Just think of old Willie’s words on days like this Arch, and if that don’t help, maybe his music will. 🙂

  4. Hey Archie;

    By the way, one of my shortest posts is about Eagle Dance.

    “I met a man who showed me the “Eagle Dance” on the side walk in front of his poor home. His sister had him admitted to a mental hospital.. i really liked the dance and think maybe they locked up the wrong person..”

    The writer of the post was a fellow by the name of Archie, at 37stories God Spot.

    Thanks ,for I smiled at that, knowing full well what you meant.
