6mths ago my 6yr old son had a 10 min cardiac arrest. The chances of him surviving were slim, but he was up and walking around within 48hrs…drs were stunned, but could give us no answer on why this happened but said it would most likely never happen again.

The last 6 months for myself as Kyles mother have been pretty phenomenal. Gods given me great responsibility as well as understanding what Faith really is. Faith is a gift Gods given me and I’ve chosen to accept it *wipes brow with relief*…I’d love to say I was strong enough to go through the things we’ve been through, but when you really understand what faith is you learn then that you will know before the moment happens, what the out come will be.

4 weeks ago I was feeling very uneasy about my sons health again, so after 3 dr appointments the dr finally transferred us up to the Childrens hospital. After a week of investigations (and my constant squeeky wheel comments) the cardiologists finally found the problem. It didn’t look good…pulmonary hypertension. Not a common condition in children and the long term outcome is grim. They gave him 5yrs to live..if he was ‘lucky’.
.
The drs, who I think are amazing, had to do a heart procedure which had it’s risks, but was the only way they could find the right treatment to keep him alive. The only other option was death, so of course I chose the procedure.

As I sat in the waiting room I already knew something was wrong…Gods good like that, he always prepares me. the surgeon came in and said he’s suffered another cardiac arrest, but they has revived him. He told me he’d be back soon..One minute later he came in with a concerned look on his face “he’s in arrest again…quick, come with me”
