People Still Die Sharing the Love of Jesus

Prayer request: Sajji lives in a remote part of India, and loves Jesus. He and his wife took in 22 orphaned children and made them part of their family. Sajji and his co-worker Ranjan, recently began working in a new region where many people had never heard of Jesus. They were warned by anti-Christian leaders to stop sharing the Gospel, but could not disobey God. Last Saturday, they visited homes in the village, praying for many of the families. The response was so positive that plans were made to start a Bible study in the home of one the villagers.

As Sajji, Ranjan and other believers were returning home that night, a mob stopped their car and started attacking them, cursing them for talking about Jesus. Sajji was driving the car and they beat him to death on the spot. The other believers were able to escape to nearby fields, returning later to find their friend lifeless and covered in blood.

Sajji’s death has left his young wife a widow and 22 orphans fatherless again – all because of Sajji’s love for Jesus and desire to obey His commands. Please pray for all those concerned: Sajji's widow, the children, Ranjan and the other Christians – and that God would somehow use this tragedy for His glory. May revival break out in that same village!

It is the desire of my heart that God be Lord of my life. Life’s experiences have killed the old man and God is building a new creation in me. I look forward to experiencing the new man God creates in the old vessel known as Archie via "God Spots".
