Does Your Jesus Ever Tire of Hauling Around Barnyard Animals?

jesus lambJesus seems to come in many different colors, shapes and sizes.  Mostly He has a glow about him and seems to carry young lambs around.  I have to tell you something.  If this is your Jesus, you got the wrong guy.

My Jesus abides.  He is personally interested in what goes on in my life and continues to influence my life in ways which encourage me to become the person God desires to spend eternity with.  Jesus is real and engaged.  He wants to be engaged with you.

There is much to know and learn about Jesus and many will spend a life time filling their head with Bible stories that inadequately portray the real person of Jesus.  I am not negating the value of Bible stories, I am just saying Jesus is alive and real today!  You don’t need to live out your Christianity with a God of old.  He is ever present, today!  You can write your own stories!

Living life with a belief in the abiding of Jesus is incredibly easy.  No longer do you have strategize about how best you can do things for God and try to figure out what your next steps are to please Jesus.  Living life with Jesus is just living the moment in His present and doing all He wants to do.  Jesus is very purposed and enjoys having you spend your day in His presence, enjoying the limitless resources at His disposal.

So today, set aside your stereotypical Jesus and know Jesus abides.  Take your next step in His pleasure and you will be surprised to experience Jesus having already taken the step you experiencing.  It’s you and Him in every step.

And yeah, leave the barnyard animals in the barnyard.  They will just slow you down.

It is the desire of my heart that God be Lord of my life. Life’s experiences have killed the old man and God is building a new creation in me. I look forward to experiencing the new man God creates in the old vessel known as Archie via "God Spots".
